Oslo formed part of the return journey in researching Odin’s End. So I drove from Trondheim to Oslo, getting in to the city at about 6:00 pm for a 6:00 am (YAK!)flight.
So I spent a few hours in Oslo, then flew from there Christmas Eve to Paris. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were spent in Paris. The throngs of American tourists usually descend on both Oslo and Paris in the summer, so the beauty of these two cities at Christmas goes largely unappreciated.
But I was there – and you have no idea the beauty that you’re missing. Enjoy!
